What becomes of Earth once there is no one left to serve? In the far future the planet belongs to robots, who have inherited our chores, our schedules and most of our bad habits. Trank, an outdated model from the city of New Iron, learns that the leader of the town has designs on the whole world. Armed with wit rather than spare parts, and gathering a few unlikely companions, he sets off across the Amazonia desert and the Electric Forest toward an overdue confrontation.
