Legion of the Dead

What has an Egyptian queen been waiting four thousand years to finish? Somewhere in the California desert, a team of archaeologists uncovers the mummified remains of Aneh-Tet, a ruler her own people tried to erase from history. She remembers every detail. To complete the prophecy that promises her the powers of the Underworld, she needs servants, and she raises them from the dead, shuffling obediently across the sand. Mummies, a desert dig and an ancient curse: the old bargain, honoured without fuss.
