A forgotten lamp holds power enough for a scheming sorcerer to bend an entire city to his will, and the only thing standing in his way is a penniless street youth. Aladdin descends into the forbidden cave, rubs the metal and wakes a genie eager to grant wishes he can barely put into words. Hand-drawn animation, blazing palettes and a sprint against the villain for a princess's hand: unguarded adventure cartooning, served with the wide-eyed generosity of a midnight screening.
