Two centuries ago a star tore itself apart in the constellation Lyra. The radiation front from that death is now bearing down on Earth, and every living thing lies in its path. Astrophysicist Dr. Kelvin (Brian Krause) leads the last-ditch effort to blunt the wave before the sky ignites, working against military pressure, impossible math and a clock nobody can stop. Anthony Fankhauser stages the end of the world on a shoestring, with burning skies and the full-throated conviction of prime midnight-movie doom.
