His dramatic range runs so wide that lighting rigs simply give up halfway through a take: they illuminate one emotion while he's already three ahead. Entirely self-taught, by vocation and by shooting schedule, he studied craft between setups because there was never a gap for classrooms. In Monster Hunters and Megalodon Rising he holds the horizon steady with his jaw; in Bullet Train Down he performs his own stunts, mostly because the budget covered courage and nothing else. Festivals not yet invented already worship him.
