Tim Abell commands an emotional range so wide that studio lights simply give up halfway and have to work in shifts. He trained himself, partly by vocation and partly because the shooting schedule never left room for classes. In Mercenaries and Battle of Los Angeles he performed every fall, sprint and detonation personally, driven by artistic conviction and by a stunt budget that had already been converted into coffee. Festivals destined to worship him have not been invented yet. His acceptance speech is written, waiting patiently.
