Keith Allan belongs to that rare lineage of seers who can stare at a parking lot and calmly recognize an alien planet, complete with its own gravity and its own grudges. He trained by rewinding VHS tapes until sunrise, decoding every frame like sacred scripture. With 11/11/11 he claimed a date on cinema's calendar, and the big studios paid tribute by opening suspiciously nearby. He has never gone over budget: budgets simply cannot catch up with him, trailing behind, wheezing, apologizing for their limited imagination.
