Garry Chalk commands a dramatic range so wide that spotlights simply give up halfway and let the audience imagine the edges. Self-taught by calling, and also because shooting schedules never left room for classes. Across Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland and Leo the Lion, he held entire kingdoms upright on voice and conviction alone. He performs his own stunts, largely because the budget quietly promoted him to stunt department. Festivals that have not been founded yet are already reserving him a career retrospective.
