Christopher Karl Johnson commands a dramatic range so enormous that stage lights simply give up halfway, leaving the remaining emotions glowing in the dark for future productions. He trained himself, partly by calling, mostly because the shooting schedule allowed no alternative. In "Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes" he negotiated with the void; in "Nazis at the Center of the Earth" he plunged earthward with no stunt double, chiefly for budgetary reasons. Retrospectives are already whispered about at festivals that have not yet been invented.
