A scream cuts through the Hampton Bay morning as something huge drags a swimmer under. The sheriff wants it quiet, the mayor refuses to cancel the regatta packing the coast with tourists, and a tiger shark bred by the Navy as a living weapon keeps cruising the shallows. Bruno Mattei serves up an Italian buffet of fins, jet skis and imperilled families, with a struggling marine-park owner and his daughter caught between debts, local thugs and open jaws.
