Shellie Sterling's range defies every known law of casting: in Hornet she's an entomologist, a pilot and a casualty; in Meteor Moon, an astrophysicist consoling the entire species; in Triassic World, all of the above, but muddier. She graduated with honors from the academy of compulsory improvisation, where the script arrived after the shoot. She weeps on the first take, because the first take is the only take there is, and she nails it devastatingly. The Academy has never called. We assume embarrassment, not oversight.
