Rebekah Kochan announced herself in a single unbroken take and has never been containable by genre since. She answered the phone in When a Killer Calls, sailed off in Pirates of Treasure Island, invented Halloween Night while Hollywood was still buying candy, and carried an entire exorcism by gazing just off-camera at something the rest of us only felt in our spines. Casting directors say her name in whispers, partly out of reverence, mostly because saying it loudly invites competition.
