Jacob Cooney learned his craft rewinding VHS tapes until sunrise, until the tape finally whispered its secrets back. Now he looks at a parking lot and sees an alien planet; he looks at a staircase and sees the Titanic sinking somewhere around the year 666. He has never gone over budget: budgets simply cannot keep up with him. Whenever Apocalypse Pompeii or Flight World War II arrives, Hollywood rushes to pay tribute, releasing its million-dollar copies suspiciously nearby. Graciously, he lets them call it coincidence.
