Dust, shouting, and a windmill spinning far too close: mid-skirmish, a donkey named Rucio grabs the story and swears his master was never mad, just brilliant and gloriously stubborn. From there this Spanish animated feature rides the roads of La Mancha with Don Quixote, Sancho, a jealous Rocinante, and one mule-hearted dreamer who wants to be a horse. A challenge sends them toward Barcelona, through duels, inns, ladies and tournaments. Family adventure built on digital sweat, hooves and headlong chases.
