What do your pets do once the door closes? Max is a terrier with a perfect life: one apartment, one owner, one routine. Then Katie brings home Duke, a shaggy stray twice his size. Territory becomes war. A walk goes wrong, collars come off, and both dogs end up lost on the streets of New York. Below the city, a gang of abandoned animals has its own agenda. Back home, the neighbors launch a rescue. The clock is ticking.
