Life under the bells of Notre Dame comes with one rule for Quasimodo: never leave the tower. His guardian, Judge Claude Frollo, minister of justice in Paris, has drilled it into him for years while tightening his grip on the city's Romani people. Then the Feast of Fools lures the bell-ringer down into the streets, where he meets Esmeralda, a fearless woman who openly defies Frollo. Soaring animation, gothic spires, choral music and a hero nobody sees coming.
