A barn door swings open. A donkey runs for his life; his owners have decided he is no longer worth feeding. On the road he meets a dog, a cat and a rooster, each one discarded, each one out of time. One destination unites them: Bremen, where animals are said to make music and live free. Four unlikely voices. One band. But the city they find is run by a sinister enterprise, and no stray gets in without a fight.
