Can one slave outfight an empire and a volcano before nightfall? Pompeii, 79 A.D. Milo, a Celt sold into the arena, arrives in the city to die for the crowd's amusement and instead finds a reason to live: Cassia, a wealthy merchant's daughter pledged against her will to a ruthless Roman senator. As Vesuvius wakes and buries the streets in ash and molten rock, Milo cuts a path toward her through collapsing marble. Grand-scale spectacle, staged without restraint.
