Sirens wail across the rooftops of Monte Carlo: a casino has just been cleaned out, and Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria are running for it. Their route back to the Central Park Zoo now detours through Europe, where the penguins and chimps have left a trail no one could miss. Worse, animal-control captain Chantel DuBois has caught their scent and does not give up. The safest cover turns out to be a travelling circus, where performing animals raise no questions at all.
