Dr. Rick Marshall is a discredited scientist on the verge of losing the last thing he has left: his reputation and the space-time theory nobody will fund. When he finally tests his device alongside researcher Holly and roadside-attraction owner Will, the trio is pulled through a vortex into a strange land where dinosaurs roam, deserts stretch impossibly wide, and the sluggish Sleestak lurk in the caves. Weaponless and out of their depth, they rely on a primate named Chaka to help them find a way home.
