James Washington, a model recruited as an astronaut for a re-election stunt, touches down on the Moon's far side expecting nothing worse than bad press. Instead he loses his ship, his freedom and command of his own body to a Nazi fortress built in secret since 1945. As officer Klaus Adler and schoolteacher Renate Richter head for Earth to prepare the assault, a fleet of flying saucers powers up behind the lunar horizon.
